Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Porter Media (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Coachly (the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information — your name/username, email address, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email).
  • Content you create — teams, drills, practice plans, rosters, and related data.
  • Payment information — processed by Stripe. We receive billing status and the last four digits / card brand, but never your full card number.
  • Usage data — basic analytics such as pages visited, features used, device/browser type, and approximate session activity, to improve the Service.
  • Cookies — a session cookie to keep you signed in, and minimal cookies needed to operate the Service.

2. How We Use Information

To provide and operate the Service; process subscriptions and payments; authenticate you; respond to support requests; send essential account emails (e.g., password resets, billing notices); and understand usage so we can improve Coachly.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run Coachly, under contract and only as needed, including:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Hosting/infrastructure — our server provider (DigitalOcean) and CDN (Cloudflare).
  • Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records (e.g., payment records) to comply with law.

5. Your Rights

You can access and update your account information in-app, export your data, and delete your account. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data—contact us to exercise them.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures—encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and regular backups—to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

Coachly is intended for coaches and adult users. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Coaches who manage youth rosters are responsible for the player information they enter.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
